Terms and Conditions
The Slappcard terms: how orders, shipping, returns, fan pages and the Rewards program work. Cards are not returnable, and an order is final once printing or design work starts.
About these terms
These terms cover your use of the Slappcard website, the card designer, checkout, the fan pages your cards open, and the Rewards program. By creating an account or placing an order you agree to them. Checkout asks you to agree before you pay.
Slappcard is run by Slappcard LLC, a Kentucky limited liability company. Our mailing address is PO Box 582293, Elk Grove, CA 95758. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean that business.
These terms take effect on October 2, 2026. If you do not agree with them, please do not create an account or place an order.
What Slappcards are
Slappcards are printed cards made from the design you create or upload. Each card carries a QR code and a card link that opens your music. Cards are sold in packs, and the sizes and prices are shown on the shop and pricing pages.
A fan scans the code, or types the card code, and lands on your fan page: your tracklist, a player and downloads. Hosting, the email sign-up step and the download page come with the pack, and we print and ship it once you order.
Hosting of your fan page, tracklist and downloads comes with every pack at no extra cost. We do not charge a hosting fee. We host a pack's fan page while Slappcard runs the service, and we will email you at least 30 days before hosting for a pack in good standing ends. Cancelling an order revokes its codes at once. When an order is refunded, its Legacy links pause and we may stop its cards. We can also pause a card under the Terms.
Your account
You sign in with an email address, or with a Google or Apple account. Give us accurate details and keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. We do not check your age. A fan who opens or unlocks a card is not placing an order, so this rule is about ordering only.
We can pause or close an account that breaks these terms.
Your music, artwork and content
You keep ownership of everything you upload: music, artwork, text and photos.
You promise that you own it or have permission to use it, and that it does not break the law or anyone else's rights.
You give us permission to store, copy, print, display and play your content, but only as needed to run your cards: printing your order, showing your fan page and delivering downloads to your fans. That permission lasts as long as your content is on Slappcard.
We may remove content, or pause a card, if we believe it breaks these terms or someone else's rights.
Copyright and takedowns
If you believe content on Slappcard infringes your copyright, email contact@slappcard.com with:
- a description of the work you say was copied;
- where the content is, such as the card link or page address;
- your name, mailing address, email address and phone number;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not allowed by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or are allowed to act for the owner; and
- your typed or written signature.
Copyright actions we take
When we get a complete notice, we may remove the content or pause the card, and we may tell the artist who uploaded it. We may close the account of an artist who repeatedly infringes copyright.
Acceptable use
Please do not use Slappcard to:
- break the law or anyone's rights;
- collect fan emails in a misleading way, or use them in ways the fans did not agree to;
- send spam;
- try to break, overload or get around our systems or security; or
- use someone else's account.
Ordering and payment
The price and the shipping cost are shown before you pay. Payment is handled by Stripe at checkout, and we never see or store your full card number. Any tax that applies is shown at checkout.
Your order is placed when payment goes through, and we email you a confirmation. We print your cards after that. If we send you an invoice, the amount and due date on the invoice apply.
Proofs
Before we print, we may email you a proof link. It shows your card the way it will be printed, along with the fan screens that sit behind it. You open it without an account, then approve it or ask for changes. Approving takes your typed name and a tick to confirm you checked the spelling, the artwork and the fan pages.
Check a proof carefully, because what you approve is what we print. Some orders, such as ones we invoice, normally wait for your approval before we print. If the design changes after you approve, that approval no longer covers the change, and we will usually send you a new proof.
Shipping
We ship to addresses in the United States and Canada only. Checkout accepts an address in one of those two countries.
Any shipping cost is shown before you pay. Print and delivery times vary, and any timing we give is an estimate, not a promise. We ship to the address on your order, so please check it carefully.
If your order does not arrive, contact us and we will look into it.
Returns and refunds
Cards are not returnable. Once we have started printing or design work, the order is final, and we replace or refund a pack only if the whole pack is defective.
A defective pack means the whole run is unusable, not one card and not a few. A single card that will not scan or arrives damaged is a support fix, not a replacement or refund: contact us and we will help.
If a whole pack is defective, contact support with the order number and we will look at the pack before deciding what to do. We decide whether to replace the pack or refund it. An approved refund goes back to the payment method you used.
If you cancel before we start printing or design work, we refund what you paid in full. Once we have started printing or design work, the order is final, and we keep the payment if you cancel. If we cancel an order ourselves, we refund what you paid.
If we keep the payment, the email we send you gives the reason. A refunded card payment goes back to the card you used.
Nothing on this page limits any right you have under the law where you live.
Digital downloads and fan pages
Artists choose what fans can hear and download. A fan may be asked for an email address to unlock a card. Downloads are for the fan's own listening unless the artist says otherwise.
Cards from artists who joined before the current Slappcard site are currently download only: the fan gets the MP3 to keep and cannot stream it.
If you are an artist, you are responsible for how you use the fan emails collected through your cards. Follow the laws that apply to email marketing where your fans live, and honor unsubscribe requests.
We can pause a card, including when its sign-ups look automated or abusive.
Referral commission
Every artist who orders cards is part of the Rewards program. There is nothing to switch on. Only the referred artist's first order earns commission: a flat amount set by the pack they buy, shown on the Loyalty page, not a share of the price. Their later orders earn nothing.
A referral commission stays pending for 30 days and becomes final only when the referred purchase stands for the full 30 days.
If that purchase is refunded or voided inside the window, the commission does not qualify.
Commission is for real referrals. We may withhold or cancel commission on purchases you make yourself, or that we find were made only to earn commission.
When a commission is owed to you, we pay it by hand: we make each transfer ourselves and mark it paid in your dashboard. Nothing is deposited automatically, and we do not publish a payout schedule or a minimum amount. If the purchase is refunded or charged back before we pay, the commission is cancelled or reduced to match. If we cancel the order but keep the payment, the commission stands. A commission we have already paid is not taken back.
Changes and availability
We work to keep Slappcard running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change a feature, or pause the site for maintenance.
Warranty and liability
To the extent the law allows, we make no promises about Slappcard beyond what is described on this site, and we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses such as lost sales or lost fans.
To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim about an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that the law does not allow us to limit.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of California, and disputes are heard in the state and federal courts in Sacramento County, California.
Before you take a dispute anywhere else, please contact us first so we can try to sort it out.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The effective date near the top says when the current version took effect, and an update is posted on this page. An order you have already placed stays under the terms in place when you ordered. Hosting follows the promise in the section on what Slappcards are, which we keep for as long as we run the service.
